In the process of making threads on a shaft, precision and stability greatly influence the quality of the final workmanship. One of the obstacles that often occurs is shifting or instability of the workpiece during the thread making process. Therefore, the author aims to design and build a shaft or shaft workpiece gripping tool that can increase accuracy and efficiency in the thread tapping process. The design of this tool is designed with a pneumatic system mechanism where the working process of the tool is determined by wind pressure. From the results of the
tests carried out, it is hoped that this tool can reduce the level of turning in thread making and does not require energy in carrying out the workpiece clamping process.
