Upaya Mitigasi Pencemaran Minyak Dilaut Oleh PT Pertamina Trans Kontinetal

This final project aims to find out how oil pollution mitigation efforts by PT Pertamina Trans Kontinetal. The formulation of the problem is what are the causes of oil pollution in the sea, what are the tools used in oil pollution mitigation efforts in the sea, how are oil pollution mitigation efforts in the sea. The place of this research was conducted at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinetal Dumai Branch. This research uses qualitative which is then described descriptively. The method used to obtain the required information from related parties is that the researcher prepares observation, interview and documentation methods. The results of the study show that the causes of pollution in the sea are the loading and unloading process at the port, oil pipe leaks, when carrying out the banker process in the middle of the sea or docking at the pier. and some of the tools used are oil booms to localize spills, oil skimmers to lift oil from the water surface, and oil absorbents to absorb oil. And some methods used in pollution mitigation efforts are by using mechanical methods (Skimming and Sorbent) because they are very good because they are effective in removing oil spills and are relatively environmentally friendly in the long term and also by using chemical methods (Use of Dispersants) if you have difficulty lifting oil
