Penerapan Metode Quality Of Service (Qos) Untuk Menganalisa Kualitas Jaringan Studi Kasus Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis

The rapid development of internet technology demands a stable and high-quality network, especially in academic environments such as Politeknik NegeriBengkalis (POLBENG). Although the Hotspot Polbeng service is available, users still experience slow and unstable connections. This study utilizes the Quality of Service (QoS) method to analyze network performance based on Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay, and Jitter. Data was collected from 12 campus buildings using Wireshark, revealing variations in network quality across different locations. Some areas experience low throughput and high packet loss rates, especially during peak hours, while increased delay and jitter in certain points indicate network instability. The primary factors affecting network quality are the high number of users and infrastructure limitations in some areas. The findings of this study provide an overview of the network conditions at POLBENG, help identify areas that need improvement, and optimize bandwidth utilization to enhance the stability and efficiency of internet services in supporting academic activities.
