Abstract

Road preparation work is one of the important stages in road construction which requires the use of heavy equipment, such as excavators, to achieve work efficiency and effectiveness. This research aims to analyze Excavator productivity in road preparation activities based on work cycle time, Bucket capacity, and factors that influence performance in the field. The methods used include direct observation of heavy equipment activities, collection of technical data, and analysis of actual productivity calculations compared to modeling productivity. The analysis results show that there is a difference between actual productivity and actual modeling. In actual Kobelco sk200 870,912 m³, DoosanDX225LCA-2 695,520 m³, LiugongCLG920 m³ 618,240 m³, while in modeling Kobelco sk200 786,240 m³, DoosanDX225LCA-2 655,520 m³, LiugongCLG920 m³ 582,400 m³. This is due to field factors such as sandy soil conditions, operator conditions of 70- 84% in the medium category, effective working time of 7 hours, and the ratio of cost to total volume (cubication 0.8m³) Kobelco SK200 IDR 292,006,808, Doosan DX225LCA-2 IDR 388,083,920 liugong CLG920 IDR 309,685,070. By knowing Excavator productivity accurately, equipment planning and work schedules can be carried out more precisely, thereby supporting the overall success of the project.
