Penerapan Keselamatan Kerja Dalam Penanganan Kegiatan Bongkar Alumina Oleh Pt. Seroja Jaya Agensi Cabang Kuala Tanjung

The implementation of occupational safety in handling alumina unloading activities at PT. Seroja Jaya Agensi, is a crucial aspect to protect workers and the environment. Alumina unloading activities that involve various risks, heavy equipment accidents, and dust exposure, require strict safety handling. This study aims to analyze the implementation of applicable occupational safety standards and identify challenges faced in their implementation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. With data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of occupational safety in handling alumina unloading activities by PT. Seroja Jaya Agensi has been carried out quite well. However, there are still some things that need to be improved to improve occupational safety and reduce the risk of accidents, such as equipment used during unloading, the use of personal protective equipment. Factors that influence occupational safety in handling alumina unloading activities include, equipment and technology factors used during loading and unloading, materials handled, environmental factors. Efforts made by the company to improve work safety during unloading include providing training to workers, ensuring workers use appropriate personal protective equipment, carrying out routine maintenance on equipment used in loading and unloading activities, and improving communication and coordination between workers and management to ensure that workers understand work safety procedures and can report incidents that have the potential to cause accidents.
