Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penerima Beasiswa Kip-K Di Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis Menggunakan Algoritma Simple Additive Weighting (SAW)

Decision Support System (DSS) is a computer-based system that assists in making decisions based on specific data and criteria. In this study, a decision support system was developed to determine the recipients of the KIP-K scholarship at the Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis using the Simple additive weighting (SAW) method. The KIP-K scholarship is awarded to students who have high academic potential but are economically disadvantaged. Previously, the selection process for scholarship recipients was conducted manually by managing files, re-entering data, and then determining potential candidates, which required a significant amount of time and carried the risk of errors in calculations and data management. The SAW method was chosen for this research due to its ability to provide ranking results based on predetermined criteria weights. The developed system is web-based, allowing easier access for students and the student affairs department. The results of the study indicate that this system can improve efficiency and accuracy in the KIP-K scholarship recipient selection process compared to the manual method.
