Abstract
This final project is a stage to carry out research that aims to determine the service efforts of PT. Berlian Ocean Shipping in increasing the appointment of ship agencies. The method used is a qualitative method, in this case the author collects data using data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation studies. From the results of the study, the service efforts carried out by PT. Berlian Ocean Shipping in increasing the appointment of ship agencies are improving the quality of human resources, using technology, improving processes and procedures, monitoring and evaluation, improving the ability and competence of human resources through education and certification, experience and practice, and evaluation, Increasing cooperation with other parties, such as ports and shipping companies. And the obstacles faced by PT. Berlian Ocean Shipping in increasing the appointment of ship agencies are: human resources, limited regulations related to ship agencies may not be adequate or have not been updated, tight competition in the ship agency industry, dependence on external factors such as weather, market conditions, and government policies, limited infrastructure such as ports, warehouses, and equipment, and dependence on business partners such as shipping and shipping companies and responses to service users.
