Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of financial health indicators on premium income in insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2020-2024. The population for this research consisted of 80 samples, selected using purposive sampling techniques. In the context of stable economic growth and an increasing public awareness of the importance of financial protection, the insurance industry in Indonesia has shown a positive trend, with a significant rise in premium income. The analysis method employed in this study is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25, which allows the researcher to measure the effect of each financial health ratio on premium income simultaneously. The results indicate that, based on partial tests (t-tests), the Risk-Based Capital variable does not influence premium income, the Loss Ratio variable also has no effect, while the Commission Expense Ratio and the Liability to Liquid Asset Ratio positively affect premium income. Conversely, the Net Premium Growth variable does not impact premium income. The adjusted R-squared value obtained is 0.865, indicating that the combined effect of Risk-Based Capital, Loss Ratio, Commission Expense Ratio, Liability to Liquid Asset Ratio, and Net Premium Growth on premium income accounts for 13.5%, leaving 86.5% influenced by other variables not included in this study.
