Aplikasi Monitoring Kapal Di Area Perairan Selat Malaka Berbasis Android

The Malacca Strait is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, with more than 70,000 vessels passing through annually, which increases the risks of accidents, smuggling, and security threats. To address these challenges, this research developed an Android-based vessel monitoring application that utilizes Automatic Identification System (AIS) data to facilitate the monitoring of vessel traffic in the Malacca Strait. The study was conducted from April to June 2025 using dummy AIS data stored in a local database, targeting users such as local fishermen and port authorities operating in the area. The application was built using the Flutter framework and Leaflet mapping technology to display vessel positions in real time, and is equipped with features for viewing detailed vessel information and user activity history. Testing results show that the application can assist in monitoring vessels well, support decision-making, and improve navigation safety.
