Abstract
The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has opened significant opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical system monitoring. This study aims to design and implement a laboratory-scale power plant monitoring system using IoT technology. The system employs a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as the data processor, a PZEM-004T sensor to measure voltage, current, power and frequency, as well as a digital tachometer to measure rotational speed (RPM). The measurement results are displayed in realtime on an I2C LCD and the Blynk IoT application, enabling remote monitoring via smartphone. Testing was carried out with excitation variations of 20 Vdc, 40 Vdc, and 60 Vdc, under both load and no-load conditions. The results show that the system operates stably and accurately, with relatively small percentage errors compared to conventional measuring instruments. This implementation enhances flexibility and speed in monitoring three-phase motors and generators in the laboratory while improving operational safety and reliability.
