Abstract
A belt conveyor is a mechanical device used to transport materials continuously with a specified capacity. This final project aims to design and construct a belt conveyor machine with a transport capacity of 250 kg/hour as a solution to improve the efficiency of compost material handling at the Fajar Pagi Bathin Tongonong Farmers Group livestock facility. The partner's main challenge lies in the manual material handling process, which is time-consuming and
requires substantial labor. The design process considered technical aspects such as motor power calculation, belt selection, and frame dimensions. The fabrication
process included material cutting, component assembly, and equipment testing.Test results showed that the machine could transport 250 kg of material per hour
with a working efficiency of 96%. The implementation of this belt conveyor significantly accelerates the compost handling process, reduces labor requirements, and supports productivity and cost efficiency in integrated livestock
operations. Furthermore, the machine is expected to serve as a model for the application of appropriate technology in sustainable livestock and agricultural sectors.
