Perancangan Alat Pembuat Paving Block Menggunakan Sistem Peneumatik

This study aims to address two main issues in the paving block production process: how to achieve uniform pressure on the mold and how to increase production output in a shorter amount of time. To accomplish this, a pneumatic-based paving block press machine was developed, designed with a symmetrical pressing system and a flat pressing plate to ensure stable and even pressure distribution. Test results indicated that a pressure of 6 bar was sufficient to produce dense and uniform paving blocks without any physical defects, proving the system’s effectiveness in delivering consistent pressure. Furthermore, in terms of time efficiency, the automatic system was able to produce 20 paving blocks in just 5.23 minutes, compared to the manual method which required 19.15 minutes for the same quantity. The achieved time efficiency of 72.6% demonstrates a significant improvement in productivity. Therefore, the use of a pneumatic system not only enhances the quality of the paving blocks but also significantly accelerates the overall production process.
