Abstract

The HDPE fishing boats, which are replacing wooden fishing boats in Deluk village, are designed using High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. This material was chosen for its advantages, including high corrosion resistance, flexibility, and impact energy absorption. The use of HDPE in ship construction is a relatively new innovation, requiring careful construction to ensure the strength and stability of the ship under operational conditions. Therefore, it is essential to ensure the ship meets safety and reliability standards. This is done to improve the structure and simplify the fabrication process. Furthermore, using HDPE as the primary material offers the advantage of easier maintenance and lower operational costs compared to traditional materials such as steel, aluminum, and wood. However, the main challenge is the process of joining HDPE materials, which requires special techniques such as thermoplastic welding. Therefore, appropriate fabrication techniques are an important element in the manufacture of HDPE fishing boats as a replacement for wooden fishing boats in Deluk village with boat dimensions, (LOA) = 5 m width (B) = 1.5 m height (H) = 0.5 m draft (T) = 0.25 m.
