Abstract

As a developing coastal city in Riau Province, Dumai has various tourism potentials, including natural attractions, cultural heritage, and local culinary experiences. In the digital era, social media platforms like Instagram has become powerful tools to attract people to come to tourism objects. The purpose of this study is to make a promotional Instagram account for showcasing destinations and engaging both local and international tourists. The method of this study used descriptive research. The result of this study contains several object destinations in Dumai. The explanations with several steps in making the social media, collecting the data and providing material, making description, designing the content and posting the content. This promotional social media account is hoped to be able to help Dumai City, Riau Province to give information about tourism to attract domestic, foreign tourist, and add tourist from international for coming more.
