Sistem Peminjaman Fasilitas Jurusan Teknik Informatika Menggunakan Penerapan Metode Rapid Application Development (RAD)

The facility borrowing process in the Informatics Engineering Department of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis is still conducted manually, causing delays, recording errors, and the unavailability of real-time schedule information. This study develops a Web-Based Facility Borrowing System using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to improve efficiency and accuracy in facility management. The system is designed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, featuring online borrowing, real-time facility availability checks, facility borrowing management, and automated clearance document generation. Testing using the Black Box Testing method confirms that the system functions according to specifications and accelerates the borrowing process. With this system, students can easily access facility information, while administrators can manage borrowings more effectively. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance academic service quality and optimize facility utilization in the Informatics Engineering Department of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis.
