Abstract

This study aims to design a paper pulp mixer machine system, this mixer machine has an important role in the paper industry production process, this system is designed using a PLC as a control center, combined with a rotary encoder sensor as feedback to measure the speed of a single-phase motor. The test results show that under no-load conditions, the average motor speed error is 10,08 %, which means the results of the measuring instrument are quite close to the analysis value. Under pulp load conditions, the average motor speed error increases drastically, namely 15,79 %, indicating that the workload affects machine performance and reading accuracy. The motor power from the test results with the smallest no-load condition is 214.4 Watts, and the largest test power is 303.5 Watts. Under test conditions with pulp load, the smallest test motor power is 313.5 Watts and the largest test motor power is 378.1 Watts. This system can also be a solution in processing recycled paper that is more environmentally friendly.
