Abstract
One of the technologies that can support the construction process is Building Information Modeling (BIM). The purpose of this research is to compare and analyze the difference in volume calculation results between the conventional method and the BIM method. This study discusses the comparison of volume calculation of the building structure on the first floor, starting from the foundation, beams, columns, and ring beams. The method used is comparing the volume between the conventional calculation method and the BIM method. The conventional method is carried out manually using AutoCAD, while the BIM method is carried out using Autodesk Revit. The BIM method calculation is more accurate and can minimize human error. Based on this research, it was found that the difference in volume comparison between the conventional method and the BIM method in the foundation structure is 0%, sloof beams 0%, column structure 0%, beam structure 24.76%, and ring beam structure 23%.
