Abstract
This study examines the application of a grassdryerutilizing the barrel rotation speed (tube) for goat feed using an Outseal PLC with a capacity of 3 kilograms. The primary objective of this study was to determine the efficiency of
the device compared to manual drying methods using solar heat. Tests were conducted with varying loads of 1 kg, 2 kg, and 3 kg, with drying times of 5, 10, and 20 minutes. The results showed that the dryer produced a higher reduction in
grass mass compared to manual drying. Theefficiencpercentage of the device increased with increasing drying time, with the difference being relatively small at 5 minutes, but becoming more significant at 10 to 20 minutes. Furthermore,
higher loads provided a moresignificantincreaseinefficiency, with the best results obtained at a load of 3 kg, with an efficiency difference reaching 15 % higher than manual drying.
