The Role of the Treasurer in the Successful Organization of the Ranking 1 Event at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic Business Exhibition

Ranking 1 Competition is an educational activity that aims to hone critical thinking skills, broaden horizons, and increase the competitive spirit of participants. In its implementation, financial management is one of the key factors for the success of the event. This study aims to analyze the financial management of Ranking 1 Competition activities, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, by highlighting the role of the treasurer as the main financial manager. This research identifies the financial management process which is divided into three main stages: (1) Planning, which includes budgeting and determining funding sources; (2) Implementation, which involves managing income and expenditure in detail; and (3) Evaluation, through the preparation of financial reports to assess the efficiency of fund management. The results showed that financial management was carried out optimally by adhering to the principles of transparency and accountability. All event needs, such as the cost of equipment, consumption, promotion, and prizes, can be met without a budget deficit. The financial report prepared includes details of income, expenditure, and final balance which shows that finances are in a stable condition. The conclusion of this research is that good financial management is an important factor in supporting the success of an activity. This research is expected to be a reference for financial management in similar activities in the future.
