Abstract

Software project planning often faces challenges due to rigid and less adaptive time estimation. Inaccurate estimation can lead to project delays and cost overruns. Moreover, existing systems are unable to recalculate human resource requirements when project duration changes dynamically, making it difficult for project managers to make effective decisions. To address this issue, this study develops a web-based Software Project Estimation Information System that supports dynamic time adjustment. The system applies the Function Point Analysis method through the calculation of Crude Function Point (CFP), Relative Complexity Adjustment Factor (RCAF), and Adjusted Function Point (AFP), which are converted into Lines of Code (LOC) to estimate development effort. Based on Black Box testing and System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation, the system functions properly with a usability score of 75.5, categorized as good. The results show that the system is capable of generating accurate and adaptive estimations of effort, time, cost, and recommended number of developers, thereby effectively supporting decision- making in software project planning.
