Penerapan Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Dengan Teknologi N8N Dalam Sistem Pengingat Pembayaran Sewa Rusunawa (Studi Kasus Rusunawa Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis)

The administration of rental payment management at the Rusunawa of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis is still carried out manually, which requires a long time, is prone to recording errors, and often causes delays in sending payment reminders to residents. This condition affects the effectiveness of the admin’s work and the accuracy of rental payment monitoring. Therefore, this study aims to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using the n8n platform in a WhatsApp- and web-based rental payment reminder and monitoring system for the Rusunawa. The research method used is an experimental method with a single-case AB design, which compares conditions before system implementation (phase A) and after system implementation (phase B). The system is designed by utilizing n8n workflow automation integrated with a WhatsApp Bot, backend API, and web admin to automate the processes of payment recording, reminder delivery, and report recap generation. System evaluation is conducted through functionality testing and questionnaires to measure the effectiveness of the system in improving administrative efficiency and the timeliness of payment reminders. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of an n8n-based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system is able to improve the efficiency of the Rusunawa rental payment administration process, reduce the administrative workload, and enhance the timeliness of payment reminder delivery to residents. Based on the evaluation results, the system effectiveness level from the administrator's perspective reached 100%, categorized as very effective, while from the residents' perspective it reached 87.70%, which is also categorized as very effective. Therefore, the developed system is considered effective and can be utilized as an automation solution for Rusunawa rental payment administration, and it has the potential to be implemented in student housing management in other higher education institutions.
