Strategi Peningkatan Fasilitas Pelabuhan Penumpang dalam Mendukung Kelancaran Arus Penumpang di Pelabuhan Internasional Sri Setia Raja

Ports have a strategic role as maritime transportation hubs that support the smooth flow of passengers and regional economic growth. Sri Setia Raja International Port, as one of the ports serving international shipping activities, is required to provide adequate facilities in accordance with national and international service, safety, and security standards. However, in its implementation, there are still various obstacles, such as limited passenger facility capacity, less than optimal service area arrangement, and less than optimal use of technology, which impacts the smooth flow of passengers and the level of comfort of service users. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the facilities available at Sri Setia Raja Selat Baru International Port are generally able to support passenger service activities. However, there are still several obstacles, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, suboptimal facility maintenance, the application of information technology that still needs to be improved, and high fluctuations in passenger numbers at certain times. Efforts that can be made include improving passenger terminal facilities, optimizing supporting facilities, improving service quality, utilizing information technology, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and implementing periodic monitoring and evaluation. By implementing this strategy, it is hoped that smooth passenger flow and user satisfaction will continue to improve.
