Keselamatan dalam Penanggulangan Pencemaran Minyak di Laut PT. Pertamina Trans Kontinental Dumai

This final project aims to determine the implementation of safety procedures and the use of equipment in oil spill response at sea conducted by PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental Dumai. The focus of this study includes the implementation of safety procedures in marine oil spill response, the use of oil spill response equipment, the obstacles affecting the implementation of safety procedures, and the efforts made to overcome obstacles in the oil spill response process at sea. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews with related parties, and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of safety procedures and use of equipment in dealing with oil pollution at sea at PT. Pertamina Trans Kontinental Dumai is running quite well in accordance with applicable procedures. The obstacles faced include weather factors, sea currents, human resources (HR), and limited equipment. To overcome these obstacles, the company carries out work safety training, increases coordination between officers, checks and maintains equipment, and carries out oil spill control simulations (oil spill drills).
