Pengaruh Kondisi Cuaca dan Arus terhadap Keselamatan dan Kelancaran Proses Berthing dan Unberthing Kapal di Pelabuhan Teluk Bayur

This study aims to determine the effect of weather and current conditions on the safety and smoothness of the berthing and unberthing process of ships at Teluk Bayur Port. as well as knowing and anticipating weather and currents for the safety and smoothness of ships, and knowing weather and current conditions can cause ship queue density at Teluk Bayur Port. The problems found by the author are how weather and current conditions affect the safety and smoothness of the berthing and unberthing process of ships, as well as efforts to anticipate the influence so that ship safety is maintained, and weather and current conditions that can experience delays and higher accuracy. The use of research is to provide information on the influence of weather and current conditions appropriately to support the safety and smoothness of ship operations at Teluk Bayur Port. Research findings indicate that adverse weather and strong ocean currents hinder vessel maneuvering, increase the risk of accidents, cause delays in berthing and unberthing operations, and lead to vessel congestion in the anchorage area. Mitigation measures include monitoring weather and current conditions, coordinating among personnel, utilizing tugboats, and postponing maneuvers when conditions are unsafe.
