Analisis Pelaksanaan Bongkar Muat Kendaraan dan Naik Turun Penumpang pada Kapal Ro-Ro

This study aims to examine the execution of vehicle loading and unloading operations, as well as passenger boarding and disembarking processes, on KMP Swarna Putri from an operational safety perspective. Additionally, the study seeks to identify factors influencing safety during these operations and to formulate measures to enhance operational safety levels. A descriptive qualitative research method employing a field study approach conducted from April to July 2026 was used. Data were gathered through direct on-site observation, interviews with the First Officer (serving as the primary informant), and a review of documentation related to the vessel's operations. The findings indicate that vehicle loading/unloading and passenger boarding/disembarking activities on KMP Swarna Putri are generally conducted in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Based on the results, measures to improve operational safety include enhancing SOP compliance, strengthening supervision systems during loading and unloading, improving human resource competence through regular training and briefings, and conducting routine inspections and maintenance of operational facilities.
