Abstract
The Village Government Website is a means of utilizing information technology to improve public services and communication between the village government and the community. Difficulties in providing an intuitive interface
design and a strong security system are still problems that need attention. This study aims to evaluate and develop the village government website design interface with a focus on usability and security aspects. The QUIS questionnaire was used to measure usability (satisfaction, effectiveness, efficiency), while the Vulnerability Assessment with the Acunetix tool was used for security analysis. Initial results showed several indicators in the "Enough" category, such as Overall Reaction to the Software (2.79), Screen (2.71), and Learning (2.65), while Terminology and System Information (3.96) and System Capabilities (3.95), were in the "High" category. Scanning with Acunetix showed vulnerabilities at the "Low Severity" level. The development of evaluation-based design resulted in significant improvements in appearance and usability, with final scores for Overall Reaction to the Software (4.19), Screen (4.13), Terminology and System Information (4.23), Learning (4.21), and System Capabilities (4.2) in the “High” category. This study proves that the User Research and Security Analysis approach is effective in increasing the usability and user trust in the village government website.
