Abstract

Along with the increasing need for electrical energy and technological developments, where the electricity source from PLN is used for the main power source in a house. In one condition, the source of electrical energy from PLN is not always continuous in its distribution. The process of transferring electricity manually can be time consuming which can be detrimental to the agency. Therefore, an automatic solar cell transfer operation tool was made, namely ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch). In the research and design of an Android-Based ATS Monitoring and Control System by utilizing the Internet Of Things (IoT) system, it allows electricity sources and electricity quantities to be monitored and controlled by an ATS system remotely via the internet. In this process the Solar Cell will charge the battery to turn on the ATS and will be controlled using a relay module, the wifi IoT Node MCU module ESP8266 and PZEM-004T as voltage and current sensors. Overall testing and experimentation with 91% success in eleven trials of Node MCU ESP8266 and voltage and current sensors.
