Abstract
This research aims to determine the handling of passenger ships by the Port Health Quarantine Center at the Selat Baru passenger port, Bengkalis, Riau. The problem that will be discussed in completing this final assignment is the mechanism of the Port Health Quarantine Center in handling the Bengkalis - Malaka passenger ship and what obstacles are faced in its implementation. This research was carried out from May to December 2024 and the location of this research was at the Dumai Class I Port Health Quarantine Office, Bengkalis Work Area. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results obtained are that the mechanism for handling the Bengkalis-Malaka passenger ship with the main steps taken in its implementation are health checks of passengers and ship crew, monitoring health protocols and checking the completeness of health documents. As for the obstacles faced by the quarantine center Port Health regarding the handling of the Bengkalis-Malaka passenger ship and the efforts that must be made by the Port Health Quarantine Center in handling the Bengkalis-Malaka passenger ship by holding regular health checks for the crew on duty and providing health education to the passenger.
