Abstract

The rapid development of automatic technology at this time penetrates all fields. Especially in the field of household needs such as drying clothes, which usually have to be lifted still using the manual method. Therefore, an automatic clothes dryer was designed to make household chores easier. This system consists of hardware and software. This automatic clothes dryer works when given a voltage of 5 V on the Arduino Uno to run the module system and use the stepper motor as the entry or exit of clothes. When rainwater hits the rain sensor, the sensor produces an average voltage of 1.57 volts, when it is not exposed to rain water, the voltage value is 3.26 volts. As for the LDR sensor when it detects bright light, the voltage value obtained is 2.10 volts and if the light is dark, the voltage value is 3.73 volts. This system runs when the LDR sensor detects bright or dark light and the water sensor detects rain. From the results of testing 4 errors from 20 trials and getting an average trial success rate of 80 % success.
