Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the cause of leakage in steam pipe at PT Sari Dumai Sejati (SDS) Apical Dumai. This research uses experiment of V weld with variation of shawl corners 350 , 450 , 600 . Measurement of leakage level in this test using penetrent test. The results of this study indicate that the use of shawl corner greatly affects the level of leakage in the steam pipe. The average pipe leakage rate does not occur at the 450 corner, compared to the 350 and the 600 . That the welding process at the 450 corners of the weld quality is better quality and has less accuracy to reduce the impact of leakage on the pipe.
