Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are educational institutions that focus not only on religious teaching but also on character building. With technological advancements, financial management has become a vital aspect, implementing a QR Code based e-money system is an effective solution. This research aims to design and develop such a system to enhance efficiency and security in financial management. The system also aims to evaluate user acceptance and satisfaction. Similar implementations have been successfully applied in several Islamic boarding schools, such as ICBS in West Sumatra, which uses e-money cards for transactions. The Prototype Method, with stages including Communication, Quick Plan & Modeling, Prototype Construction, and Deployment Delivery & Feedback, simplifies the development process. The resulting system has successfully facilitated transactions for students and improved financial security. This research demonstrates that the adoption of e-money systems in Islamic boarding schools can enhance financial transaction efficiency, minimize the risk of money loss, and provide a modern solution for financial management. In conclusion, integrating technology in financial and administrative activities supports modernized operations, benefiting students and management while advancing education in Islamic boarding schools.
