Abstract
The increasing activities at STAIN Bengkalis Campus, including a growing number of students and academic events, have caused a rise in traffic volume around the campus area. This has raised concerns about congestion, limited road infrastructure, and roadside disturbances, especiallyduringpeakhours. This study analyzes traffic impacts using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI) 2023 and the PTV Vissim simulation software. Field surveys were conducted on key roads near the campus—Jalan Lembaga, Jalan Bantan, and Jalan Pertanian—to collect data on traffic volume, vehicle speed, and road geometry. The analysis shows that the current traffic condition has a low saturation level (Dj ranging from 0.22 to 0.25), with the level of service categorized as stable (LOS C or better). Traffic projections for the next 5 to 10 years remain within the road capacity limits. However, improvements in managing roadside disturbances and optimizing intersection performance are needed to maintain smooth traffic flow.
