The design of this chili dryer and grinder aims to increase the efficiency of the chili processing process into chili powder. This tool is designed with two main systems, namely a drying system using a heating element, blower, and exhaust fan, and a grinding system with a chopper motor and cutting knife. The system is controlled by an Arduino Uno microcontroller and equipped with a DS18B20 temperature sensor and an ON/OFF push button. Tests show that the drying process using this tool can reduce the weight of 100 grams of wet chili to 27 grams in 6 hours and 30 minutes, compared to the sun drying method which takes 26 hours to achieve 27 grams from 100 grams. The 2-minute grinding process produces fine chili powder as much as 23.8%–33.3% of the total weight. This tool is considered efficient and suitable for use on a home or small industrial scale. practical solution for farmers and MSMEs to increase the selling value of chili and speed up the chili powder production process.
