Advancements in information technology have transformed administrative processes across various institutions, including the management of visitor data. The
Class I Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) of Dumai currently records visitor information manually using physical logbooks, leading to issues such as data entry errors, difficulties in retrieving visit records, and the risk of document loss or damage. This research aims to design and develop a web-based guestbook application to facilitate the recording, management, and reporting of visitor data in a more effective and structured manner. The application was developed using PHP with the Laravel framework, a MySQL database, and XAMPP as the local server. Black-box testing confirmed the functionality of features such as online visit registration, queue numbering, guest data management, visit status updates, and report generation. Implementing this application can streamline visitor administration at KSOP Dumai, simplify data management, and enhance the quality of service provided to visitors.
