Proses Bongkar Muat Peti Kemas Terhadap Pengendalian Port Time Pada Pt Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Cabang Pekanbaru Di Pelabuhan Peti Kemas Pelindo Perawang

This research discusses the container ship loading and unloading process in relation to port time control at PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Branch Pekanbaru at Pelindo Perawang Container Port. The background of this research stems from the importance of operational efficiency in ports to support the smooth flow of goods, where loading and unloading activities are the main factors affecting the vessel service time (port time). This research aims to understand the loading and unloading process of container ships, analyse port time control, and identify the factors affecting the duration of port time. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is analysed descriptively based on field conditions and relevant theories. The research results show that the container ship loading and unloading process is carried out through several stages, starting from the preparation for the ship's arrival, berthing, inspection of the ship and cargo documents, execution of loading and unloading, to the completion of operations and the ship's departure. Port time control is carried out through the establishment of windows, plotting meetings, inter-party coordination, document inspections, and the utilisation of the Inaportnet and VMS systems. However, in practice, there are still several factors that affect the duration of port time, namely the condition and limitations of loading and unloading equipment, berth readiness, weather conditions, port activity density, as well as the completeness of documents and inter-party coordination. Therefore, improvements in coordination, equipment maintenance, ship scheduling optimisation, and enhanced administrative and facility readiness are needed to support more effective port time control.
