Abstract
This research is an associative research that aims to analyze the influence of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions for Acer Brand Laptops. The population in this study were Bengkalis State Polytechnic Students who used Acer brand laptops. The sampling technique used the Nonprobability Sampling technique with the Purposive Sampling technique. With a total of 100 respondents. The data analysis method used was multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the brand image t-test (X1) did not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a t count smaller than the t table, namely 0.583 <1.985 and a significance value of 0.561 was obtained, so H2 was rejected. Product quality (X2) had a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a t count greater than the t table, namely 12.081> 1.985 and a significance value of 0.000 was obtained, so H3 was accepted. For the F test, brand image and product quality are significant to purchasing decisions with an Fcount value of 468.630 greater than the Ftable value of 468.630> 3.089 and a significant value of <0.001 is obtained, then H1 is accepted. And the coefficient of determination shows a figure of 0.906 or in percent of 90.6%. This states that the variables of brand image and product quality influence purchasing decisions.
