Abstract
Roads are the main infrastructure that is very influential in the economy in an area. On Road Sungai Linau – Bandar Jaya, Siak Kecil District, Riau Province, it is the main connecting road to several villages in Bengkalis with a road length of + 1570 m. The condition of the road is currently in a state of disrepair and inadequate for public traffic. In a project to get quality work results and design life requires a good and correct implementation method according to specifications. In planning the method of implementing the foundation layer work on this road, the author refers to the General Specifications, 2018. In division 5 concerning Grained Pavement and Cement Concrete Pavement. Where to explain about the stages of preparation until the work has actually been completed. After planning the method of implementing the foundation layer work on the road, there are several steps or stages that need to be carried out starting from the preparation of heavy equipment and aggregate material, construction safety plan management, installation of width and thickness stakes for base class A and class B aggregates to be spread, transportation material from the quarry to the laying location, laying of aggregates, compaction process, layer thickness testing and aggregate density testing.
