Abstract
Bengkalis used to be the center of Dutch administration and trade on the east coast of Sumatra. The Dutch heritage buildings are part of the historical tracesof the colonial period that can still be found today. Colonial architecturalcharacteristics such as building facades, window shapes, doors, and roof structurestypical of 19th-century European styles can still be seen. To increase publicawareness and appreciation of local cultural heritage, this research aims to createan information video about Dutch historical buildings in Bengkalis. The methodused in this research is descriptive. Data collection, video script writing, videorecording, voice-over, editing, and subtitle insertion are all part of the process ofmaking this product. The result of the study is informational video of Dutch
historical buildings in Bengkalis. This eleven-minute, thirty-five-second video wasedited using the Capcut video editing application. The process of making this videoincludes data collection and providing materials, video shooting, writing a videoscript, translating the video script, sound input, and subtitling.
